Program Financial Support

Financial support, in the form of graduate fellowships and assistantships, is available for students accepted into the Graduate Program. Such support is provided through the Interdisciplinary Biomedical Sciences (IBS) Program of the School of Medicine on a competitive basis. All students accepted into a graduate degree program in the School of Medicine are automatically considered for financial assistance and no application forms are necessary for this purpose. This support provides an annual stipend and also covers the cost of tuition and health insurance. The School of Medicine provides 100% of this assistance for the student's first two years in a graduate program. For remaining years, 50% of support is provided by the School of Medicine and the remaining 50% from investigators' grants or departmental sources. As a component of their educational experience, all students, whether or not they hold a fellowship or assistantship, are required to assist graduate faculty in teaching and research activities. For additional information on financial assistance, students should refer to http://gradprograms.med.wayne.edu/financial.php or contact the graduate program officer at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
